National Signing Day, or the first day high school prospects could sign letters-of-intent with colleges, was yesterday. Scout.Com attempts to break down the top recruit coming into each conference in 2005-06. Note: This list will be absolutely useless next spring once the NBA Draft looms.

The Sports Network previews conferences and picks the winners: America East ( Vermont), Big South ( Birmingham-Southern), Sun Belt ( Louisiana-Lafayette), Mid-Continent ( Oral Roberts), and the Ivy League ( Princeton).

Speaking of video games, the lines are drawn and the countdown has begun. EA Sports releases theirs next Monday, ESPN's comes about a week later. Will the EA title match or exceed the awesomeness of last year's version? Will the ESPN game be a good use of twenty bucks? I can't take the suspense much longer.
