The NCAA Tournament Diff: Round of 64 Day 1

CLEVELAND -- We'd be remiss if we didn't give you The Diff. Especially considering where we are this weekend! We do this every season during the NCAA Tournament: We sidestep the boilerplate game previews and give you the only numbers that really matter. For the games involving teams in Other 25 conferences, here are the differences between the number of American dollars each competing team has spent on athletics overall, then specifically on men's basketball. So remember that our teams generally have to do more with less, and when they overcome the big boys it's the smart taking from the strong*. Figures are from the Office of Postsecondary Education, and are from 2009. (The 2010 numbers are coming very soon as we recalculate the Red Line for 2011-12.) Enjoy the games.
