Bullet Points

A hearty 'Ray' for Bucknell, winners of the Patriot League for the first time since the mid-decade golden years. It was the beginning of the final chapter of Championship Fortnight 2011, a weekend that will conclude all remaining business before Selection Sunday. There are no fewer than 10 games on Saturday with autobid implications.
The Atlantic 14 bracket was turned inside out when Dayton deleted Xavier and Saint Joseph's snuffed out Duquesne. This sets up a semifinal between the Nos. 9 and 12 seeds in that tourney. Xavier was not the only top seed to leave town on Friday. Both HBCU No. 1 seeds were eliminated: Bethune-Cookman was forced to the NIT by defending MEAC champions Morgan State, and the SWAC's Texas Southern was taken out by Alabama State. With the exception of the Atlantic 14, every game today is a championship. After a week off, Boston University and Stony Brook will settle things in the America East. Big West top seed Long Beach State will take on last year's champions, UC Santa Barbara. In Conference USA, No. 4 Memphis will play No. 3 and host UTEP. No. 4 Morgan State will play No. 2 Hampton in the MEAC, and there's a one-two tilt in the WAC: Utah State and Boise State.Very low seeds will attempt to undo regular seasons full of struggles. The No. 6 Akron Zips will try to upset top seed Kent State in the Mid-American. Another six, the Grambling, will attempt to erase its history as the only SWAC team not to represent the conference at the NCAA's. The No. 7 in the Southland, Texas-San Antonio, will battle No. 1 McNeese State. And don't forget the non-NCAA Tournament battle in the Great West between the two Dakota schools. We also have surprise visitors to Tourney Central today. Harvard and Princeton will play a one-game sudden death eliminator to decide the Ivy League.
