During the conference season, Fridays are the ones out of the seven with the fewest games. Usually, there are Ivy League games, a couple Patriot tilts, and whatever ESPNU has convinced the Horizon or MAAC to move off from Saturday. In November and December, the light day tends to be Thursday. But was driving hundreds of miles out of the way just to see a game in Nashville worth it?



Heck, being able to see this awesome Ghostbusters car in a Kroger parking lot in Bowling Green was worth it! Road trip, let's go!



Lipscomb University is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Bisons (yes, with an "s") have been in Division I for about a decade now, and they haven't been to the NCAA Tournament yet. But they have this great building, which has hosted the league tourney a few times now!



They also have these shiny Jordan uniforms, which are new this year. For the first time all year, my Season 7 sneakers were completely outclassed. Two words: sudden impact.



They also have pretty girls! Bally likes pretty girls.



Still can't get over the uniforms. The tip-off looked like a scene from "Rollerball" (the original).



In the end, though, we learned one thing that we already knew, but it seemed different because his name was closer to his butt than before. Adnan Hodzic is scary. He's the 6-8 Sarajevo native who is the nation's leading returning scorer (over 28 points per 40 minutes last season), and on this night he made the visiting Austin Peay Governors look like Torvill and Dean. Check out this line: 33 points on 12-for-15 shooting, 9-for-9 from the line, and 16 rebounds. Ladies and gentlemen, that was tied for the highest one-game efficiency rating (43) of anybody, anywhere, in the country this season so far.



There were a few too many turnovers by the Bisons backcourt (22), but Hodzic went all Beast during a runaway overtime session and Lipscomb won. We got out of there and back on the road as fast as we could, because Bally is very scared of Adnan Hodzic. He can do things with the basketball that are very mean and nasty, and we both feel safer up here, two states away. That is all.
