HOUSTON -- Living weekend to weekend is certainly exciting, but "going Sharpie" on the calendar is preferable. The life of Season 6 has been extended, thanks to Butler; we're going to have some extra time together, you and I. We have nine beautiful breathing-room days to celebrate and wrap up our business. We know that
Epilogue, The Sixth has a set posting time -- Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. EDT -- and we can make plans around that.
Two weeks ago, we asked you
not to fill out a bracket. The As-You-Go Bracket contest is down to six entries (sorry, folks, we did warn you multiple times; there is a complicated appeal process that involves cupcakes, though). We will now close it on
Tuesday night at 5:00 pm EDT with final entries that have the Final Four teams in place, so that we can put matters to a vote and allow the participants to lobby the general public. Remember, they're going for a most-expenses-paid trip to the Season 7 Symposium in Indy this summer! We also have the opportunity to discuss the S7S a little bit too. It will be held in late summer at the
Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport, The Mid-Majority's official headquarters in the
capital of Hoops Nation (and hold-court home this weekend). But when? Is a September weekend good for you? October?
Here, then, are the remaining entries in our AYG contest.
Here are the opening brackets, and
here's what they looked like before the Sweet 16. Comments were entered before the big Butler win, so we know now that their best wishes helped.
01. Joshua LeggetteAlas, we are down to but one team representing all of mid-majordom; similarly, only one #TooBigYo team bally remains amidst the burnt ruins of my Mid-Majority As-You-Go Bracket. Here's to Butler extending MM season 6 to next weekend.
03. Douglass GakingHere you go. It does have my excited Butler scribble for the Final Four on it.
04. Kraig WilliamsWe are all Bulldogs tomorrow! Hopefully me and Bally #63 will be there to get the dawgs to the sports bubble.
05. Julia PriorToo big, yo.
06. Benjamin AtchinsonAnd then there was one...Go Dawgs!
08. Garrett WheelerThree words: Too Big Yo!
09. Robert CanedoWhen you start building your bracket at work, getting it home is one thing, but finding 8+ feet of uninterrupted wall space is another! Fortunately, my son's room had minimal decoration so little had to be removed from the wall! Also, at home, HC Bally can join in the cheering. GO BULLDOGS! Final 4 here we come!
