Now, we would have preferrrred that the NCAA powers-that-is would have spread the first round upsets more equitably between Thursday and Friday. That would have made for an emotional rollercoaster of far simpler convexity, no? But it shook down like this, and we had six dogs, cats and dudes in the fight on Sweet Saturday. Friday's bloodbath means just two more today (it was nice that they staggered our games evenly, though), and there's till a great chance to flood each of the four regionals with sunshiney mid-major goodness. A lot of people have been asking me through The Form™ and the Twittertron where Bally and I are going next weekend, and I'll tell you right now: as of this writing, I have no flippin' idea. But we're going somewhere. Season 6 is alive!
Also, we'd like to extend a special go-go-team to Gonzaga, whom we don't claim (out of respect, of course). But they could very well set up the ultimate Mid-Major Philosophy Convention in Salt Lake City next weekend with Xavier and Butler... and perhaps later on in Hoops Nation's capital city, "Gaels-Zags IV: This Time It's For The Whole Thing."
