Men's Hoops Claims Third Straight Outright Ivy Title WIth 95-76 Win At Brown - For the third consecutive season, the Cornell men's basketball team made it through the 14-game Ivy League tournament as the conference's top team. This time, a wave of 3-pointers by the Big Red washed out Brown, 95-76, in an offensive clinic on Friday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Cornell tied an Ivy League record and set a school mark with 20 3-pointers to improve to 26-4 (12-1) and become the first school to earn an NCAA tournament bid for the third consecutive season. Kent State Wins MAC Regular Season Title With 74-61 Win Over Akron - Kent State (23-8; 13-3) wrapped up the 2010 Mid-American Conference regular season title in convincing fashion in front of a national televised audience with a 74-61 victory over local rival Akron (22-9; 12-4) on Friday night. The win is the Golden Flashes' 13th in the last 14 games and gives the program its fourth MAC title (2002, 2006, 2008, 2010) in school history and third in the past five years.  Kent State will be the top overall seed in next week's MAC Tournament.   (via Kent State)

Aggie Men Conclude Regular Season At Home Saturday Night Against New Mexico State - Utah State is in its 105th season of basketball and has an overall record of 1,425-1,000 (.587). USU hasn't had a losing season since the 1992-93 campaign, a span of 17 years, when that team finished with a 10-17 record. With New Mexico State's 100-92 loss at Nevada, Utah State notched its second-straight outright Western Athletic Conference regular season title as it also won the league in 2009 with a 14-2 WAC mark. USU shared the WAC title in 2008 with a 12-4 conference mark and its current streak of three straight regular season conference championships is the best in school history. Utah State is receiving votes in both polls this week and is currently ranked 28th in the latest ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll with 24 votes and 33rd in the Associated Press poll with nine votes. Utah State is riding a season-high 14-game winning streak and has won 18 of its last 20 games after starting the year with a 6-4 record.
