Men's Basketball Tops Princeton, 50-47 - Cornell fought off a feisty Princeton team to claim its fourth straight victory, a 50-47 win over the Tigers on Friday night at Newman Arena. The Big Red never trailed while improving to 24-4 overall and 10-1 in the Ivy League. Princeton fell to 16-8 (7-3 Ivy). Senior center Jeff Foote led the Big Red with 19 points, while classmate Ryan Wittman added 12 points, half coming on a perfect 6-for-6 effort from the foul line. Wittman converted two free throws with 2.8 seconds left to account for the final margin leaving the Tigers with the challenge of inbounding the pass and getting in position for a desperation 3-point attemp which did not come close. Weber State Sews Up Regular Season Title For Its Own With An 85-57 Win At Eastern Washington On Friday Night - Weber State head men's basketball coach, Randy Rahe, knew his team was facing an Eastern Washington team battling for its playoff life for the Big Sky Tournament and focused all week in getting his team mentally prepared. Turns out they were fine all along as the Wildcats placed four players in double figure scoring and held the Eagles to just 17-59 (.288) shooting in an 85-57 win Friday night in Cheney, Washington.(via Weber State)

Monarchs Host VCU In Sold Out CAA Battle - The ODU Monarchs (22-8/14-3) host the Rams of VCU (20-7/11-6) at the Ted Constant Convocation Center Saturday at 4 p.m. This is the fifth straight ODU-VCU sellout at the Ted and sixth overall in nine years. The Monarchs have won 22 consecutive home games dating back to last season. The streak is the third longest in the country. ODU last lost at home on Jan. 24, 2009 to Northeastern. The Monarchs then closed the 2009-10 season with eight straight wins, including three wins at home during the CIT Tournament. The Monarchs are a perfect 14-0 at home this season. (via Old Dominion)
