Lions Get Healthy, Beat No. 9 Gonzaga - Playing with a full line-up for the first time in nearly two months, the LMU men's basketball team got healthy in a hurry with a 74-66 win over West Coast Conference leader and top-10 Gonzaga in front of 3,770 at Gersten Pavilion on Thursday night. It was yet another statement win for the Lions, who improve to 14-13 overall and 5-6 in the WCC. Men's Basketball Remains In Second In WCC Following 61-49 Win At San Diego - Saint Mary's returned to its winnings ways by posting a 61-49 West Coast Conference win over San Diego from the Jenny Craig Pavilion on Thursday night. The Gaels got a game-high 16 points from Ben Allen, to improve to 22-5 overall and 9-3 in WCC play, remaining in second place in the conference standings. Saint Mary's was coming off a two-game road-losing streak, which was the longest losing streak of the season for the Gaels, and needed a win over a gritty San Diego (9-19/2-10) squad to have a chance to capture their first WCC regular season title since 1997. Morabbi was one of four Bulldogs to reach double-digits in scoring, joined by Zach Urbanus (14 pts), Cameron Wells (13 pts) and Harrison DuPont (12 pts). DuPont grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds, recording his first double-double.
