Surging Spiders Grind Out Road Win At Rhody, Move Into A-14 First-Place Tie - KINSTON, R.I. - David Gonzalvez scored a game-high 19 points, and Richmond won a critical Atlantic 14 showdown at Rhode Island, 69-67, Wednesday night. Their fifth-straight win moved the surging Spiders into a tie for first in the A-14 with six regular-season games remaining. Thanks to Richmond's victory and a win by Dayton over Charlotte, the Spiders return to the Capital City tied atop the conference standings with the 49ers and Xavier. (via Richmond)

Aggies Travel to Fresno State Thursday - The Aggies are 15-8 and tied for first place in the WAC with an 8-2 record following a 70-68 win over Louisiana Tech, Feb. 8 in Las Cruces. Junior guard Jahmar Young posts a team-high 21.3 points per contest while senior guard Jonathan Gibson adds 18.3 points per game and sophomore forward Troy Gillenwater provides 19.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Junior forward Wendell McKines supplies 11.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per contest while sophomore center Hamidu Rahman is contributing with 11.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

The Bulldogs are 12-12 and 5-5 in league play after a 61-51 decision at Hawai'i, Feb. 6. The victory was Fresno State's first WAC road win of the season. Sophomore guard/forward Paul George has a team-high 17.0 points per game but he's been sidelined with an ankle injury since Jan. 21. Senior forward Sylvester Seay adds 15.4 points per game while freshman center Greg Smith and sophomore guard Mike Ladd contribute 12.2 and 10.0 points per contest, respectively.
