As luck would have it, we got a somewhat decent response to our First Annual Bally Refrigerator Art contest. There were entries from actual kids, annnnd others who are probably old enough to do this. But how are we to prove anything? This is the Internet, where people talk with their fingers and listen with their eyes. Nothing is what it seems.
And just like always, we're having trouble picking a winner. Won't you help us choose from our four finalists?
Six-year-old Lindsey submits "Bally on Vacation," a tropical romp with palm trees, flowers and some clouds that her mom helped her with. This scene is totally going to come true in about two months.
Here's an entry from Diane, age 4. It captures Bally in all his raw, primal glory.
This one's by Eric, who was four years old a long, long time ago. He wrote (in crayon, of course): "In this piece you will see Bally embracing all of the conferences of the mid majority with open arms (except for maybe the A-10 who Bally is about to squat on, sorry A-10)."
Your fourth selection is by Chris, who depicts a thrilling northlands action scene. "My (child's) entry is entitled 'Rally and Bally on the Prowl' and depicts the University of Vermont's mascot Rally the Catamount along with everyone's favorite basketball."
Well, there you have it: our four finalists. Which will you choose? Hopefully we have the poll thing figured out. We don't want a repeat of the Ultimate Project disaster, but fingers crossed. We'll announce a winner on Tuesday.
