Game! Of! The! Night! 11/17/2007: Dayton at George Mason

|

Dayton (A-10) at George Mason (CAA)
Fairfax, VA - Patriot Center
7:00 PM EST

All due respect to the "2-0 Showdown" tonight between Colgate and Texas State at the Kennesaw tourney, but we have an Atlantic-14 threat visiting CAA country on Saturday evening. Dayton has great senior leadership in guard Brian Roberts (31 in the Flyers' season-opening win over East Tennessee State), and a real exciting freshman in 6-8 Chris Wright (22 and 13 in the same contest). Brian Gregory's squad will likely be in the league's March conversations, along with Saint Joe's and Xavier.

The Pats, nearly as undefeated as the football ones, are coming off an off shooting night against Cleveland State, where they show 38 percent but still won 56-47. But keep an eye on freshman wing Isaiah Tate, a product of legendary Delmarva hoops factory DeMatha. He scored 18 on 7-for-9 shooting in that Tuesday game. The snappy-dressing bandleader dude with his pimp cup will be there... will you?
