Bullet Points
- Holy Cross is back in the NCAA Tournament after beating Bucknell in the third consecutive Bison-Crusader title game. It's not a rivalry unless both teams get to win.
- Nevada was sent out of the WAC tourney with a freaky foul moment against Utah State. In other No. 4-over-1 action, Toledo was upset by Miami (Oh.) in the MAC semis.
- Nothing but finals from here on out: autobids in the America East, Big West, Mid-American, MEAC, SWAC and WAC. The Southland takes a day off and goes at it tomorrow.
Autobids: Pennsylvania, Winthrop, Eastern Kentucky, Davidson, Creighton, Virginia Commonwealth, Niagara, Wright State, Oral Roberts, North Texas, Central Connecticut State, Weber State, Holy Cross.
NIT: Austin Peay, Marist, East Tennessee State, South Alabama, Toledo and Southern Illinois (SIU won't need it, though).

Good Night
The past is gone, it went by like dust to dawn... isn't that the way? The 2006-07 basketball season is over for 2005-06 NCAA participants Kent State, Bucknell. It's over for California-Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Morgan State, N.C. A&T, Lamar, McNeese State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Texas Southern and Boise State. To the players and coaches who made it this far in Championship Fortnight but go home without postseason reality, dream yourself a dream come true.

Having recently completed its fourth season, The Mid-Majority is a blog about the 22 smaller Division I college basketball conferences (and independents) by me, Kyle Whelliston. I write for ESPN.com and Basketball Times, and maintain the Basketball State statistics website as well.

Here's a brief note on who we talk about, and why.
